Umit Deniz Ulusar received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Marmara University in Istanbul and was awarded his master’s degree at Bogazici University. He received his Ph.D. in 2010 at Arkansas University/USA for a doctoral dissertation entitled “Fetal Breathing Movement and Its Distinctive Characteristics in Biomagnetic Data” with a GPA of 4.0. He is currently employed as an associate professor in Akdeniz University Computer Engineering Department. He put his theoretical knowledge into practice by working in private sector as a software developer since 2000. He worked as a web and application developer, PKI (Smart Card) expert, VOIP expert, project manager and consultant. Dr. Ulusar is experienced in design and development of various size software projects and scientific applications. His main research interests are image & signal processing, internet of things and big data. He currently works at the Department of Computer Engineering, Akdeniz University. Umit does research in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering and Medical Technologies. His current project is ‘Designing a Smart Data Delivery Framework For the Future Internet.’
